"You See the Trouble with Me" is a song by Barry White and Ray Parker Jr., and was a hit single in 1976 and 2000.
The song first appeared on White's 1976 album Let the Music Play. In its initial release, the track reached #14 on Billboard's Black Singles chart[1], and #2 in the UK.
A cover version in 2000, credited to Black Legend, originally sampled Barry White; however, White had not given permission for this, so the vocals were re-recorded by Black Legend member Elroy "Spoonface" Powell. This 2000 version - falling under the genre tribal house - was a hit across Europe, reaching #1 in the UK in June of that year. The song was the 40th best selling of 2000 in the UK.
